Collage.

Since i was a teenager I have collected papers & old books to use as collage fodder. I enjoy the layering process of being able to see parts but not all of the history of a collage painting. I also love creating my own papers, using different inks, watercolours & paints on different kinds of paper, changing the look and feel of textures. I have always found the “play” element of assembling different cut out shapes with one another a bit like doing a jigsaw puzzle.
